Do you use a VPN?

A "VPN" is a short abbreviation for a Virtual Private Network. Do you use one? Is your subscription free or paid, and who is it with? And finally, what are the main reasons for doing so?

We bought a new comp & had McAfee with VPN. I had always wanted to try a VPN (I don't care for my info to be out there), it would not let me go to Proboards forums, even my own. So that was a bummer!

I tried a free trial but then ended up canceling it. It wouldn't let me access my online banking with the VPN enabled which was a real pain because I check my bank balance daily.

I used Proton VPN before. I think it's quite reliable, plus they offer a free tier. I can upgrade if I want to, since they're having a black Friday sale and plus I use their mail service. I wouldn't recommend NordVPN, since it's been hacked in the past.

Using a VPN doesn't appear to me because I believe there are lots of sites that don't like them.

My McAfee comes with a VPN, but I rarely take advantage of the facility .. now as for a proxy server :yes: a very good addition for extra safety
